Shortly after Americans discovered the freedom of the road associated with the automobile, a phenomenon arose along most lonely, and populated highways. Known as a Motor Hotel or the "Motel" where in most cases you could park your sturdy stead just outside your bedroom and walk from door to door in a second or two. I stayed in countless motel rooms growing up and still use their convenience when ever I can. I have also been documenting the dissolving Icons that at one time were literally scattered all over the landscape.
